Recently was asked to add a touch of elegance and natural beauty to a home by making and installing live edge white oak slabs shelves.
It's an easy but time-consuming process starting with finding the right slabs. Thankfully I know some people in the area that have a great stock to look through. They ended up being just under 2" thick/10-11" wide and perfect for supporting potted plants. We cut to size, planed, sanded, filled, sanded, and finished with a butcher block oil.
I love the unique look and sturdiness; They turned out stunning!
